2. Material and Methods Pilot-scale scrubbing experiments were conducted to treat actual odor emissions from Suwon Food Waste Composting Plant. The scrubber consists of a gas inlet fan, packed-bed column with recycle liquid reservoir with centrifugal pump, chemical dosing system with pH, water level, and temperature controllers, and a main control panel. Fig. 1 presents a schematic diagram of the pilot plant. Odor emissions from the site are primarily composed of ammonia and methylamine which is expected from composting processes because biosolids have high ammonia and organic nitrogen
