Pangandaran is one of many tourist attractions in the South Eastern region of West Java that continues to be developed by the local government. All this time, well known tourist destinations in the Pangandaran district are limited to the beaches (Pangandaran Beach, Pasir Putih Beach, Batu Karas Beach, Karang Nini Beach, and Batu Hiu Beach), and nature reserves, even though there are other high potential tourist destinations in the form of cultural tourism, both in the coastal areas as well as in cultural activities in hillside areas such as Sunda Buhun sites and rituals. The combination of natural and cultural tourist destination areas has the potential to be developed into a geopark-based tourist destination in Pangandaran district. To realize this geopark tourism destination in Pangandaran district, it is necessary to educate tourism activists, especially those who are concerned for the development of geopark-based tourism destinations, with tourism knowledge and communication skills, because the knowledge and communication skills of tourism is an added value of the community that prioritizes the concept of harmony between stakeholders, ie government, community and investors. To accomplish this, members of the tourism activist group should gain knowledge and skills in the form of tourism communication training activities with basic capital already in place, which is a diverse marine ecosystem.
