Description
Bleisure travel has gained momentum due to the flexibility of the modern workplace and the desire for work-life balance. Despite this, due to the contrasting characteristics of work and leisure and the limited resources available to travelers such as time and energy, it is difficult to assume that integrating these two domains has always been seamless. Utilizing a focus group interview and an online survey, this research explains travel attributes that generate conflicts between work and leisure during bleisure travel, impacting travelers’ subjective well-being. Findings contribute to the travel and work-life balance literature, offering insights for travel managers to mitigate conflicts and enhance travel benefits, recognizing the complexities of harmonizing professional responsibilities and leisure pursuits in contemporary travel practices.
